1666: Amsterdam Esbat Planning Checklist
Use this before every night hunt — targets, Coffers, and preparation in one list.
The Esbat is the most complex moment in 1666: Amsterdam’s gameplay loop. You are managing multiple targets, a time limit, Coffer choices, a Suspicion state, potion inventory, and the unique mechanics of each Original you are hunting. This checklist helps you organize all of that before committing to the night.

Before the Day Phase — Investigation Checklist
Before the sun sets, confirm each of these investigation items:
Targets Identified: How many Originals have you identified in this district? List them by location. Evidence Gathered: Do you have three to four documents for each target? Marked in Menu: Have you marked each target through the investigation menu? Suspicion Level: Is your Suspicion at zero? If not, return to the safehouse. Mental Map Built: Have you walked the main routes and understand the district layout?
Before Leaving the Safehouse — Preparation Checklist
Potions Crafted: Suspicion potion (quantity: ___). Healing potions (quantity: ___). Nux restoration potions (quantity: ___). Potion Belt Equipped: Are the potions you want to use equipped in the potion belt? Coffer Priorities Decided: What ability type is most needed for this district? (Circle: Combat / Investigation / Familiar) Aaron Scouted: Have you sent Aaron through cat-only routes to identify Coffer locations?
During the Esbat — Execution Checklist
Targets First: Hunt marked Originals before collecting Coffers. Coffers Second: After all targets are collected, grab accessible Coffers. Dawn Timer Watched: Keep one eye on the remaining time. Environmental Objects Checked: Have you surveyed the arena for throwable or interactable objects? QTE Rhythm Maintained: Are you hitting QTE prompts to keep Nux flowing? Suspicion: If elevated during night phase (rare), find cover immediately.
After the Esbat — Recovery Checklist
Coffers Confirmed: Were all Coffers collected? If you died, note which ones were lost. Suspicion Reset: Return to safehouse and confirm Suspicion is at zero. Story Progress: Has the district’s narrative concluded? Potion Restock: Craft new potions before leaving the safehouse.
