1666: Amsterdam Steam, Epic, Price, and the Missing Prologue Page

1666: Amsterdam is a PC Early Access title from Panache Digital Games. There is no dated console SKU. If a site sells a “switch key” or a browser playable, it is not this game. Price in late August 2026

List price on Steam was $29.99 USD. An introductory 10% cut (about $26.99) was shown with an end date of 1 September 2026. Panache’s Early Access FAQ also says they intend to raise the EA price as the game nears 1.0, so waiting can cost more money even if it costs less frustration. After 1 September, trust the live store widget, not a screenshot on this wiki.

A Soundtrack app sold separately for about $9.99 (Steam app 5101950), with a game-plus-OST bundle during the intro window. Chronicle #06 is the music diary. Details: soundtrack. Steam also listed a bundle with Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey — same studio family, not extra 1666 boroughs.

What the purchase contains

The paid build is the first campaign chapter (~15 hours) plus Prologue content inside that client, Unreal Engine 5, hardware ray tracing, SSD, full controller support including DualSense haptics as advertised, Steam Cloud, Family Sharing, and captions. Trackers showed no public achievement list in late August even though the store ticks “Steam Achievements” — this wiki will not invent trophy names. Mature labels on Steam: intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content, nudity, strong language. That matches the 1999 hotel ritual and Esbat nights. Single-player only. There are no multiplayer sessions.

The Prologue demo listing

From 5 June 2026, 1666: Amsterdam (Prologue) existed as a free Steam demo, app 4519690, about 30 minutes, no combat hunt. Epic had a matching free teaser at reveal. After Early Access shipped, visiting store.steampowered.com/app/4519690/ no longer resolved to a public game page (it dumped to the Steam storefront). Treat the standalone listing as delisted or unpublished unless Valve puts it back. If you grabbed it during Next Fest or in June, look in Library → Tools / Demos. Epic’s live catalog changes. Confirm the current Epic product page before you assume a free demo still sits beside the $30 EA. This wiki will not screenshot a store that moved overnight.

Refunds, OS, and languages

Steam refunds follow Valve’s two-hour / two-week policy — check help.steampowered.com, not a fan wiki. The game is Windows 10 64-bit, DirectX 12, ~50 GB. English has full audio; French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Dutch, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), and Russian have interface and subtitles. Dutch dub was not in short-term plans (Chronicle #03). Full table: languages.

Community contact is the official Discord (discord.com/invite/panache as printed in Chronicle #03). In-game bug reporting was promised for EA. This site cannot refund you, patch Unreal, or sell keys.

If the store says Mixed and you only buy finished action games, wait. If the Prologue already sold you on canals and cats, the intro window (while it lasts) is the cheap seat. Hardware first. Then money.
