1666: Amsterdam Noa Brooklyn, the Collector
Apothecary apprentice by day, witch with a purpose she did not choose — and the player’s main hands in 1666.
Noa Brooklyn is the primary playable witch of 1666: Amsterdam. Steam’s pitch names her the Collector: born into the role, raised by the Zaindaris for a job she did not pick — taking back power the Originals have abused for centuries. This page is the character article. Combat numbers live on witchcraft and combat. The hunt loop lives on hunting Originals.
Who she is in the story
Wikipedia and the studio’s own Feature #2 video agree on the bones: Noa is a young apothecary apprentice in Golden Age Amsterdam who secretly belongs to the Zaindaris coven. Her commencement in December 1665 makes her a Collector and binds her to a familiar. She is not a tourist. She is a woman with a mask — citizen by daylight, witch when the work demands it. Game designer Sarah Petri, in Midnight Chronicle #05, said duality is the point: by day Noa wears the city’s face and gathers what she needs; by night she can reveal herself the way her targets do.
Victoria Diamond voices Noa. In Chronicle #04 she called the role relentless, powerful, and stoic, and said the Mid-Atlantic accent — neither fully British nor American — was the hard part. That accent is a performance choice, not a Wikipedia nationality. Xiao Yi Hernan voices Aaron; the contrast is written on purpose.
Tools, not a skill tree brochure
Official materials name the Heeparan as the artifact that lets Noa absorb and wield Nux, the corruptive force bound up with Originals. The Nuxefer is the ancestral manuscript — a grimoire that records the journey for later Zaindaris and, in the present, for Clio to decode. Jean-François Boivin’s day/night feature also names a sacred branch and Hiparra inherited from the coven for the Collector’s duty. Treat those as named props from the studio videos, not as a complete item wiki. If a blog lists “Zaindari Blade +50 mana,” it is inventing.
In play, Noa’s magic splits the way the rest of this wiki already documents: Lux for environmental work (light, enchant, traverse) and rarer Nux for combat, restored in part through QTEs and through Aaron converting resources. She fights with a broom as much as with spells. Open Lux in a crowded canal raises Suspicion and brings militia. Civilian dress is not flavour; it is the day kit.
How she plays versus Aaron
You switch at will outside cutscenes and active combat. Noa reads ledgers, talks, marks, and fights. Aaron fits through gaps, climbs, opens, and coerces. Feature #2 is explicit: two playstyles, one Union. If you main the cat because Noa “feels slow,” you will fail identity work. If you never swap, you will miss half the houses. The first chapter is built on that boredom becoming habit.
Coffers appear as jewellery on her witch form — three-choice upgrades for an Esbat, lost if you die that night. They are not a Diablo paragon board. See Coffers.
What this page will not spoil
We will not walk her full arc, romance flags, or chapter-one revelations. Relationship talk in press means dialogue and investigation outcomes, not a dating sim. Edge 426 put Noa and Aaron on the cover; that is marketing, not a walkthrough. For the 333-year pulse and why Clio is reading a book in another century, use timelines.
Noa is the reason the game exists as a witch hunt instead of another canal walking sim. Learn her mask, her book, and her moon. Then the rest of the wiki is just footnotes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about 1666: Amsterdam.
Is Noa Brooklyn playable in the Prologue?
Yes. The Prologue is her commencement and the start of the Collector mantle. Full Esbat combat belongs to the paid first chapter.
Who voices Noa?
Victoria Diamond. Midnight Chronicle #04 is the interview: Mid-Atlantic accent, three words relentless / powerful / stoic.
What is the Heeparan?
Studio videos describe it as the inherited artifact that lets Noa absorb and manipulate Nux. It is not a loot rarity table.
Can I skip playing Noa and stay as the cat?
No. Identity work, Nominem, and Esbat combat are Noa’s. Aaron is the other half of the Union, not a substitute protagonist for the hunt.
